Hector's sculptures are inspired by the neolithic structures of Europe. They consist of large megalithic pieces of stone with intricate stone designs, sometimes with an inlay of copper between the larger pieces. What Hector hopes to accomplish with his sculpture is to create a sense of place, a place to read, a place to relax or just be. He feels his work is functional as well: the sculpture becomes the focal point and he often envisions benches and landscaping enhance to overall effect. The ideal setting for Hector's sculptures are in a courtyard, as an accent to a well-landscaped garden or along a hiking path in the woods. |
